WEEKEND WISHLIST – HAYDEN NG

Don’t we all wish that everyday is a Saturday or Sunday so that we can laze around and do the things we enjoy most? We’ve got some ideas on what to do this weekend.

Sothys Desquacrem

Sothys’ Desquacrem befits a stay-home facial treat, minus the long waiting time.

Try: A quick and pampering facial exfoliation. I like this gentle cream exfoliator which doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable post-cleansing.  Smooth over wet face and leave it on for one minute before cleansing off with water.

Watch: If you usually spend your weekends watching funny Youtube videos (like me), don’t miss this thigh-slapping good one from The Ellen Show. It tops my “All Time Favourite Videos” list.

The cider that never turns warm. Now that's a real relief.

Drink: An iced cider or beer from MUSEO. Ever felt cheated by how unappetising your ciders and beers get when they turn warm? Try this. They’re easier to drink and we enjoy it.

Pleasure Factory is by Kaiwen Leong, Chui Whye Leong and Elaine Leong.

Read: The voices of sexual workers in Singapore are heard in Pleasure Factory – Horrors of the Singapore Flesh Trade. The book explores the personal stories of seven women and how each of them survive their personal hardships.

If I can cook, so can you!

The lovely Kazrimaki-Sushi. If I can cook, so can you!

Try: Learn the art of sushi-making or Japanese culinary.  Much to the disbelief of my doubtful friends, the above is made by yours truly at the newly opened Tokyo Sushi Academy Singapore. The classes are conducted in small groups so grab a friend and enjoy your own sushi creations.
